About the Project
The project includes complete reconstruction works that meet modern transport requirements and passenger comfort while preserving the architectural heritage of the historic railway station.
The station building retains its red brick facade and classic arched windows, but the platform section has been modernized with a wide roof with warm wood cladding and functional metal structures. As a result, a perfect harmony is established between the character of the past and the functionality of the future. The main concept of the project is to ensure that the building does not lose its historical character, while providing a safe and comfortable waiting area for passengers.
Architectural Solution
- Main Building (Historical): The red brick facade has been restored, and green accents have been added to the windows and decorative details, giving the station a special look.
- Platform Cover (Modern): A wide canopy over the platform protects passengers from the weather. The wood-textured material used in the lower part of the roof combined with the metal supports creates a modern and warm atmosphere at the same time.
- Saving Details: Wall lamps and clocks in the original style have been retained in the waiting room and platform.
- Facade Restoration: Restoration of red brick, light-toned sandstone and arched window forms.
- Seating and Lighting: Functional metal seats on the platform and an internal lighting system that emphasizes the texture of the roof.
